The 23rd annual Decorators-Designers-Dealers Sale and Auction Benefit Gala, to benefit the Southampton Fresh Air Home’s 114th year of camp for physically challenged children, was the highly anticipated opening fundraising party of the summer season.  The DDD featured live, silent and wine auctions and an extraordinary home furnishings and antiques sale.  The Auctions featured items from top names in fashion, jewelry, travel, fine dining, entertainment, sports, health and beauty. The Wine Auction contained selections that could rival the best of any private collection.  The fabulous furniture sale showcased choice and rare antiques, gently used and new home furnishings—designer furniture, lamps, paintings, framed prints, fabrics, decorative accessories and much, much more.

Charlotte Bonstrom Assaf and Sarah Senbahar were Honorary Co-Chairmen; Kirsten Solsvig Galef and Barbara Page Glatt were Chairmen; Nicola S. Grant and Silke Tsitidiris were Vice-Chairmen; Raya Keis Knight was Auction Co-Chairman; Vittorio Assaf, Patricia and Daniel Hope, Max Rohn, Roman Roth and Joey Wolffer were Wine Auction Co-Chairmen; Ann R. Grimm was Design & Decoration Chairman; Tish Bliss and Christl Meszkat were Design & Decoration Co-Chairmen; Peri Bogert, Maria del Rio, Jane J. Fear, Traudl Geraghty and Ann Yawney were Design and Decoration Vice Chairmen; Gary P. Crain, Christie Hansen and James Alan Smith were Designers Committee Chairmen.

The D-D-D took place at the Southampton Fresh Air Home, 36 Barkers Island Road, Southampton, New York on Saturday, June 6, 2015, starting with a 5:00 p.m.

In addition to the event’s chairmen and committee, as well as the Home’s Board of Directors, guests included Mayor Michael Bloomberg, actor Ansel Elgort, actress Aida Turturro, fashion designers Dennis Basso, Tory Burch and Nicole Miller among others.

The evening began with the unveiling of the Home’s new Catherine di Montezemolo Administrative building.  Mrs. di Montezemolo, a former Board Member of the Fresh Air Home and founder of the D-D-D sale passed away in 2009.  With her bequest to the Home, she continues her legacy of love and support for the children of the Southampton Fresh Air Home

The DDD raised approximately 40% of the Southampton Fresh Air Home’s annual operating budget.  Founded in 1901, the Southampton Fresh Air Home, a 501(C)(3) charitable organization, is a not-for-profit residential camp for physically challenged youth.
